The NFL (National Football League) has started a collaboration with Epic Games, the creator of the video game Fortnite.
Fortnite
Fortnite is a third-person shooter developed and published by Epic Games. The game is available for macOS, iOS, PlayStation 4, Windows and Xbox One. It has become one of the most popular games worldwide. In 2018, there are more than 40 million players and the video game is popular on the streaming service Twitch.
NFL Team Outfits
Since the start of November, NFL team outfits, football-themed emotes, gliders and a referee outfit will be available for purchase in the Battle Royale Item Shop. In this way, fans can bring their passion for football into the Fortnite video game. It is the first time that Epic Games collaborated with another organisation on special outfits.
The NFL team outfits will be available for both male and female Fortnite characters and will cost 1,500 V-bucks (referee outfit is 800 V-bucks). After the purchase of the outfit in the Battle Royale Shop, players are able to pick a uniform from any of the 32 National Football League teams. It is possible pick a number between 1 and 99 to customize the NFL team jersey.

This partnership represents a great opportunity for millions of NFL fans who are Fortnite players to express their fandom inside the game while at the same time exposing our brand to countless others”, according to Brian Rolapp, Chief Media and Business Officer at the NFL.
Interesting deal
The deal is also interesting for NFL players. The NFL Players Association (NFLPA) was also involved in the partnership between the NFL and Epic Games, which means that the players will receive a part of the generated business.
Fortnite and soccer
To celebrate the World Cup Soccer 2018, Epic Games released soccer-themed jerseys. However, this was not in partnership with FIFA, the world governing soccer body. The World Cup celebration also enabled Fortnite players the opportunity to play soccer in special fields.
Fortnite dance celebration
Fortnite is also popular among athletes from various sports. Therefore, it is not unusual to see a Fornite dance to celebrate a goal.
