PDC World Darts Championship

The PDC World Professional Darts Championship can be considered the most important darts tournament of the year and has the largest prize money of any darts tournament.

This popular darts tournament is organized by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) and is staged at Alexandra Palace in London, United Kingdom. 72 players from all over the world are competing for the first prize of 250,000 British Pounds and the Sid Waddell Trophy, named after a famous British darts commentator.

The Professional Darts Corporation World Championship was held for the first time in 1994 and the first event was won by Dennis Priestley. Since then, darts legend Phil Taylor won the PDC Championship fourteen times. Many darts fans consider Phil Taylor the best player ever.
